Bagolution – RTW Packing List – Month 3 Update

It’s time for another update on our bags! Where does the time go? We’ve been on the road for over three months now and there are some small changes to our bags. Not much to Bruce’s and he is certainly proud of that and likes to “rub it in” 😉

Below we’ve scratched out the items that were sent home or just left behind or lost (Lost=Kasm’s stuff). New items were also added to the bags. See our list below for details.

Bagolution!! Ok so we made that name up but pretty cool eh! I can’t take credit for it as it was Bruce that came up with it. Bagolution will be our attempt at seeing how our “bags” evolve throughout the year as we travel the world. We’ll update this list every 2 to 3 months as we add/remove/update items. We did a proper test run of packing today. Let me tell you, trying to make sure your bag only weighs 10 KG is not easy!! Specially when the contents of that bag is for a one year trip around the world. But we did it!

Bruce and I have been reading a lot about how to pack light. A lot of planning and thought has gone into every single item that’s going into our bags. Bruce even weighed some of his socks to make sure only the lightest make the cut!

LOL 🙂 It was a tough decision. We sent the mental filter back home but ditched the aeropress. We had accidentally brought the old one with us so it wasn’t a big loss ;-). Getting used to instant coffee!! Now that’s a big Gasp!
